Tourney Update

Well it didn't take very long to fill up to 56 people.  If you're still interested in playing but haven't registered I strongly encourage you to do so.  You'll be added to the Standby List and if someone backs out you'll be activated to the main list.

Our trophy for this year is nearing completion.  Our master carpenter has sent us some photos of its current state and I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty god damn amazing.  This thing will be all the envy in your household when you display it proudly on your coffee table or as a dining room centerpiece.

On the matter of cash prizes.  We haven't established the amounts yet but we are planning to issue money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  We're also considering having a raffle drawing for some assorted prizes so stayed tuned for that.

Official start time is still not yet firm. I think if you can plan on being there around noon that will be good. I will send out an official start time as soon as we establish it.

I've posted a link to our official tourney rules.  Click on the link in the header called "Tourney Rules" to read them. It likely answers nearly all of the questions you may have.

For those of you needing to find the location of Spicoli's, it is at 3555 University Ave, Waterloo, IA.  I noticed in Google Maps that it does not show the correct location.  Therefore I created this quick and dirty map for you to use if you want. Click on it to view a larger version.

That's all for now.  Only 3 more weeks!

Field Expanding to 56 People

Since we reached 48 people with a month to go, and there appears to still be a demand, we have expanded the tourney field to 56 people now.

That means we will have 14 groups of 4 competing in a World Cup style pool play, with the top 2 from each group advancing to a 28-man single elimination bracket.
